“Children must live in a world of beauty, play, fairytale, music, drawing, imagination and creativity.”
Being creative at any age is important, but especially so, when growing up. For a child, art is like a window into their inner world helping them to discover who they are, connect to their strengths and find their vision for self-expression.
Children create in a very different way than adults do. Their focus is more on the process than on the result. Young artists use art as a way to understand and adapt to the world they live in, so they need freedom to explore their creativity uninhibited by rules, but at some point, they want to improve. They want to be shown how to get better results in their artwork by working with an experienced teacher.
I offer classes where children are encouraged to engage in the process of making art using all of their senses. Students will gain experience with hands-on activities like drawing, painting, collaging, sculpting, sewing and making mosaics while working in a small group ensuring plenty of one-on-one attention.
